At Signature, we place great emphasis on training and education. Before employees even set foot on any property, they are required to complete an extensive educational program that includes both classroom and hands-on training.
Safety is, of course, a vital part of this training. All employees must pass a pre-employment drug screening, and each field staff member is required to attend safety training twice a month. In the event of an on-the-job accident, our procedures require an additional drug screening.
Education is such a highly-regarded value here at Signature that we have actively promoted it throughout our entire industry, not just at our own company. We were instrumental in bringing the Landscape Industry Certified Manager, formerly Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) and Landscape Industry Certified Technician, formerly Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) programs to Kansas and Missouri. Members of our management team became the first three individuals certified in the state of Kansas, marking a major milestone in our industry.
These professional certification programs are overseen by NALP, an international association serving lawn care professionals, landscape management contractors, design/build/installation professionals, and interior plantscapers.
